I graduated from Imperial College London in 2022 with a Masters in Mathematics. I have always been passionate about physics, and keen to undertake a PhD in some aspect of the subject. My Masters project was on the uniqueness of black hole spacetimes within general relativity.

My PhD project is non linear modelling of magnetohydrodynamics instabilities (such as Edge Localised Modes) or Internal Reconnection Events on MAST Upgrade using the JOREK code. Plasma instabilities can reduce plasma performances and generate large thermal loads, leading to potential damage to components. It is therefore necessary to understand these instabilities in order to try to control or eliminate them, and improve plasma performance.
