Prof. Roddy Vann

Roddy Vann is a Professor of Physics at the University of York in the UK. Roddy is Director of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training and the associated Fusion Industry School. He is also Chair of the Board of Governors of FuseNet, the European Fusion Education Network. He sits on the UK’s Fusion Skills Council and leads the Fusion Industry Taskforce’s Skills Pillar. His primary research interests are microwave interactions with tokamak plasmas; his group’s work ranges from relativistic simulations of Bernstein wave current drive to the deployment of ultra-fast microwave diagnostics.
