Moritz Lessman

I am studying for a PhD at the University of Manchester as part of the Fusion Doctoral Training Network, and am supervised by Prof Paul Mummery (University of Manchester) and Dr Michael Porton (CCFE). My undergraduate studies were in Mechanical Engineering. My PhD project is focussing on design with non-ductile materials: I will be looking at localised effects expected in DEMO in-vessel components and will attempt to propose a series of design principles to maximise component lifetime.
