Max Szolcek

University of Manchester

Co-hort year: 2014

After graduating from the University of Manchester with a Masters degree in Electronic Engineering I joined the materials branch of the CDT in Fusion programme. My research involves the experimental and computational study of high heat flux (two-phase flow) cooling for plasma facing components, and includes study of corrosion and magnetic field effects. The research is based in Manchester and is supervised by Dr Andrea Cioncolini, Dr Fabio Scenini (Corrosion) and Dr Michele Curioni (Materials).

Max is now a Fusion CDT Alumnus.
