Katy is the Manager of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Fusion Power, with responsibility for the operational delivery and ongoing development of currently 2 national doctoral training programmes supporting PhD researchers in fusion-related disciplines.
She leads the CDT’s administrative and professional services team and plays a central role in strategic planning for the programme. Her role spans both day-to-day operational management and longer-term programme development, using insight into student progression, delivery, and growth to help shape the CDT’s strategic direction.
She works closely with academic leadership and partners to ensure that strategic objectives are translated into effective programme delivery, with a strong focus on researcher development, skills training, and a positive doctoral experience for all students across all of their partners.
