Co-hort year: 2013

I am studying for my PhD with Ray Sharples and Richard Myers (Durham) and Graham Naylor (CCFE). The project involves using FPGAs (programmable logic chips) to develop diagnostics for MAST-Upgrade, the UK’s tokamak experiment. I am based at CCFE in Culham, looking at a 32-channel bolometer system and a 40 x 16 channel Langmuir probe control system for the new Super-X divertor.
