University of Oxford

Co-hort year: 2014

I am FDTN student studying with the Materials Science for Fusion and Fission Power group at the University of Oxford. My project will be most likely looking into the effects of  radiation damage of structural materials – such as tungsten alloys, reduced activation steels or silicon carbide materials – for fusion reactors.

Over the first 6 months of my studies I will be learning the background work necessary for my research, such as the plasma physics, materials and the technology involved in fusion.

Jack is now a CDT Alumnus
