Assad Hussain

I’m doing my PhD after having graduated from the University of Manchester with an MEng in Mechanical Engineering (Nuclear Engineering). My project involves examining the combined effect of plasma and ion irradiation on materials that are used in fusion reactors.

While being primarily based at the University of Manchester; I am assigned three different supervisors – Prof Paul Mummery from Manchester, Professor Kieran Gibson from York, and Dr Enrique Jimenez-melero from the University of Manchester’s Dalton Cumbrian Facility.
