Science X Outreach event in Manchester
Posted
ScienceX is an annual interactive science fair aiming to bring hands-on science and engineering to families. This year it was held at the Manchester Central Library and focused on the theme of Climate Change. As part of the Nuclear Energy stand, members of the Fusion CDT discussed the current status and benefits of Nuclear Fusion with around 5000 members of the public attending across two days. There was lots of great discussion and lots of interest in the plasma balls and light tubes on display from all attendees! The younger audience members particularly enjoyed learning about electrons, plasma, and currents. Overall, the event was a great success and provided an excellent opportunity to talk about all things Fusion!
