Congratulations to Emma Hume, a University of York Fusion CDT student currently in her fourth year.
Emma was awarded second place for the Best Student Poster Competition at the High Power Laser (HPL) Christmas Conference held on 13-15th December 2021 at the Abingdon School. The poster was titled “Modelling the Effect of a 10^17, fs Prepulse with Planar and Nanowire Targets“.
Emma also attended the 48th Annual Plasma Physics Conference, held at the Merseyside Maritime Museum, Liverpool in April 2022. There she presented a poster titled “Modelling of Intense Laser Interactions with Nanowire Targets” and for this was awarded the IOP Plasma Physics Group Poster Prize!
