Fusion Technology Workshop – February 2026

From 9th to 13th February 2026, our first year Fusion CDT PhD cohort came together with MSc Fusion Energy students at the York Plasma Institute for the annual Fusion Technology workshop. They learned from and debated with 15 great speakers from across national laboratories, fusion SMEs and engineering consultancies. During the whole week, attendees engaged at depth with aspects of fusion; from power plant integration into a power grid, heating a tokamak plasma, neutron and tritium handling, to advances in laser technology.
We are now looking forward to our Frontiers of Fusion workshop in April, with an exciting line-up of speakers from around the world.
