Each year the Fusion CDT collaborates with UK Atomic Energy Authority to organise an open day for prospective postgraduate students.

While Fusion is the headline topic, this spans many research areas that encompass plasma physics, materials science, instrumentation and advanced engineering/technologies. It links to fields as diverse as astrophysics, advanced manufacturing and nuclear energy.

The event provides an opportunity for students to tour the exciting fusion facilities at Culham and to speak to representatives from several universities who will present their Fusion PhD or Masters opportunities.

The event this year will be held on Wednesday 8th December 2021 at Culham Centre for Fusion Energy in Oxfordshire.
