Charlotte Brown wins Ogden Outreach Award

We are proud to celebrate Charlotte Brown, one of our post-graduate researchers for being honored with the Ogden Outreach award back in October of this year. This incredible achievement highlights her dedication and passion in Outreach and Outreach for Fusion.
In Charlottes own words:
‘I recently won the Ogden Trust Outreach Award for Postgraduate Student Ambassador for the work I did through the Fusion CDT’s outreach team. We went into schools in the Gainsborough/Retford area to promote/introduce fusion energy (they are building the STEP reactor nearby). I ran materials workshops for primary school children and a planetarium style ‘Sundome’ presentation for secondary school children and members of the public. We aimed to develop a love of science in students and spark curiosity. Interesting discussions were had with members of the public looking to learn more about fusion energy and the STEP programme.’
