I’ve always had a keen ear for all things fusion and had an interest in understand how things truly behave down to the atomic level. My interests led me to study physics at bachelors level and then further putting that theoretical knowledge into practical significance by studying for a masters in nuclear physics and engineering at the University of Bristol.

My doctoral research at the University of Oxford will aim to develop nano and micro scale mechanical testing both physically and computationally in order to accelerate materials research, an area of fusion development which is in critical demand. Materials research at the reactor scale is both time consuming and expensive, so it is imperative that we can comparably examine materials behaviour at the small scale for fast paced, effective development.
